Redeemer was birthed out of the desire to incorporate the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.  The first service was held in the auditorium at Cantrick Junior High on November 29, 1977 under the leadership of Pastor F. Joseph Atkinson.  Ten years later a more permanent church facility was completed and in May 2015 a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the addition of a new educational wing. 

On September 8, 1996 Pastor Joe ventured into "semi-retirement" and Pastor John Piippo was installed as Senior Pastor.  Timothy Curry then became the Pastor Assistant on January 10, 2016.
